BLM Is Responsible Leadership

Veterans for Responsible Leadership.  Members of the military recognize real leadership and can smell phony leaders a mile away.  It's even easier to detect the phonies when they are also flaming freaking racists.

"It is a slaughter..."

In September,  William Foege, a former director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), wrote to the current CDC director, Robert Redfield, asking that Redfield go public to explain the failures of the CDC in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.  Foege pleaded with Redford to expose the role of Trump and his political appointees in preventing and perverting actions by the CDC to put the appropriate public health policies in place.

A former director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and public health titan who led the eradication of smallpox asked the embattled, current CDC leader to expose the failed U.S. response to the coronavirus, calling on him to orchestrate his own firing to protest White House interference.

Foege, who has not been a vocal critic of the agency's handling of the novel coronavirus, called on Redfield to openly address the White House’s meddling in the agency’s efforts to manage the COVID-19 crisis, then accept the political sacrifice that would follow. He recommended that Redfield commit to writing the administration's failures – and his own – so there would be a record that could not be dismissed.

“You could upfront, acknowledge the tragedy of responding poorly, apologize for what has happened and your role in acquiescing,” Foege wrote to Redfield. He said simply resigning without coming clean would be insufficient. “Don’t shy away from the fact this has been an unacceptable toll on our country. It is a slaughter and not just a political dispute.”

“This will go down as a colossal failure of the public health system of this country,” Foege wrote. “The biggest challenge in a century and we let the country down. The public health texts of the future will use this as a lesson on how not to handle an infectious disease pandemic.”

Trump's response to the pandemic has been criminal negligence and when people like Redfield remain silent they are complicit in that criminal behavior.

I'm not sure if I like the black and white or color version.

Trump's Failures Impacting Packer Fans

Former Green Bay Packer Head Coach Mike Holmgren is a supporter of Joe Biden for President.  Holmgren has special ties to the Green Bay community and Wisconsin.  He understands the damage Trump's failure to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic is doing to Green Bay's economy.  The necessity for the Packers to play their home games without fans in attendance is estimated to cost Green Bay's small businesses $15 million for each home game.  That's potentially a $150 million hit over the next few months.  Holmgren and Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich did a conference call with journalist in September to discuss how Trump's failures were impacting Green Bay.
Holmgren and Genrich spoke to journalists on a Zoom call the Saturday before the first Packers home game of the season — a game that would pack no fans into the stands, nor tailgaters into the parking lot.
“It didn't have to be this bad. It really didn’t,” Holmgren said. “And now we find out in the last couple months, he knew all along. The president knew how bad it was and he kept it from the American people. Not only did he keep it from us, but then he didn't take action. He knew, and he did not take action.”
The Packers are unique among professional football teams.  They aren't owned by some right wing billionaire friend of Trump like Robert Kraft (New England Patriots) or Jerry Jones (Dallas Cowboys).  The Packers are owned by the community of Green Bay, making the impact of the lost community revenue even more painful.

No Tears for Trump

 Covita.

"Biden is a good man. Donald Trump is not."

I was never a fan of General Hayden, but he is a patriot, who loves the United States.  He's voting for Joe Biden in part because he fears the damage Trump could do to our country if he is reelected.

Trump Rubs His Covid-19 Care In Every Victims Face

Kristin Urquiza's father, Mark, was a lifelong Republican. He lived most of his life in Arizona where he died of Covid-19 in June. Kristen invited Arizona governor, Doug Ducey, to his interment.

“I write to invite you to the burial of my father, Mark Anthony Urquiza. He was one of the 88 Arizonans who died on June 30, 2020 from COVID-19. Despite having a huge family and many friends he died alone with an ICU nurse holding his hand,” the letter read.

“My father contracted the virus during the period when you forbade local governments from implementing their own safety measures, such as mandating the wearing of masks, to protect the public from the spread of COVID-19 through Executive Order 2020-36. As a master of public affairs, I can attest that poor policy and terrible leadership was responsible for his death.”

Ducey is a Trump marionet who is responsible for a large percentage of Covid-19 deaths in Arizona. Kristen is well aware of that Ducey was just one of Trump executioners.  Trump is the person ultimately responsible for Mark Urquiza's death.  She has a clear warning for Americans regarding Trump.

Trump is the most dangerous person in the world. I believe he is also the most callous. What kind of a monster witnesses a pandemic kill over 210,000 people in just over eight months and then, after he himself contracts it from his own brazen carelessness and is given the best medical treatment available, has the gall to claim the rest of us shouldn’t “be afraid” of the disease or “let it dominate our lives”? It’s nothing short of a proverbial pissing on the graves of every American ― including my own father, Mark Urquiza ― who didn’t have the luxury to “Walter Reed and chill” and are now missing from the lives of the people who loved them.

It didn't have to be this way.  Trump failed the nation and  through his incompetence and, then his politicization of basic health guidelines like mask wearing and social distancing.  He enabled and encouraged worthless dungbags like Ducey to ignore the pandemic's body count.
