The Silence of the Billionaires

Trump's billionaire buddies go silent.  They bankrolled his campaigns, but now they don't have anything to say about his sedition.  Well, they were OK with his fascism, misogyny, racism and overall incompetence, so why speak up when he tries to mount a coup?  

They bankrolled Donald Trump. They applauded his tax cuts. They cheered as the stock market soared. Now, the sound coming from some of the president’s wealthiest donors is this: silence.

As chaos engulfs the White House and Democrats talk of impeachment, few of these billionaires have much to say about the president they showered with many millions in campaign contributions.

“I’m sorry, I am not available right now,” wrote venture capitalist Peter Thiel. No thank you, said Thomas Peterffy, who controls Interactive Brokers Group Inc. Richard LeFrak, the New York real estate magnate, said through a spokesman he’s not doing press at the moment.

Lest we forget, Trump is also responsible for our country's failed Covid-19 response.  He hasn't barely mentioned Covid-19 for weeks and when he has it was to pat himself on the back for the work scientists did creating vaccines in record time.  Thousands of Americans are dying every day and the vaccine roll out has been an total disaster, because Trump provided no leadership.  He abandoned the country to the virus.

Rich Seditionist Begs For Pardon - UPDATED AGAIN

UPDATE 1/16/21 - Ms. Ryan has been arrested and has already publicly asked Trump for a pardon.  Remember when revolutionaries pledged the lives, fortune and sacred honor to their cause.  Now, it's just a quick private jet to DC to defile the United States Capitol and then when the consequences ensue, beg the man who incited the riot for a pardon.

Not everyone who joined the fascist mob storming the United States Capitol had to fly coach or drive their pick-up truck to Washington. Some like Jenna Ryan were able to fly by private jet to join the insurrection against our Constitutional government.

The morning of the riots, Ryan livestreamed the walk to Capitol Hill, saying, “All these working class people taking the week off … We flew here for freedom. They want to steal the election, they want to steal everything.”

She continued to ramble, “We the people are pissed off … We flew by a private jet, God wanted us here today. Trump is my president.”

As widespread damage and carnage ensued, Ryan posed in front of a broken window at the Capitol, smiling, with the caption: “Window at The capital. And if the news doesn’t stop lying about us we’re going to come after their studios next.”

Then they accomplished their mission.

“We just stormed the capital. It was one of the best days of my life,” she tweeted at the end of one of the darkest days in American history that left one woman fatally shot and four more dead.

Ms. Ryan has posted on Facebook claims that she had flown to Washington to "witness the march" and that she doesn't "condone the violence."  Ms. Ryan posted a photo of her smiling in front of a broken window at the Capitol.  It's hard to square her new found abhorrence of Wednesday's violence with her assertion that "It was one of the best days of my life."

More Republican Traitors

Republican state Attorneys General have a public advocacy organization which includes as its fund raising arm, The Rule of Law Defense Fund.  Interesting name, huh?  Turns out the this organization did some serious fund raising based on its sponsorship of President Trump fascist rally that preceded the insurrectionist mobs assault on the United States Capitol.  The group sent out a robocall encouraging participation in Trump's rally and touting their sponsorship of the event.

The fundraising arm of a group led by Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr called on supporters of President Donald Trump to march to the U.S. Capitol Wednesday to “stop the steal” following the “Save America” rally that preceded the deadly riots in Washington.

The recorded call encouraged Trump supporters to go to the Capitol Wednesday to demand that Congress block certification of the 2020 election, which Joe Biden won, including the results in Georgia.

“At 1 p.m., we will march to the Capitol building and call on Congress to stop the steal,” the robocall said. “We are hoping patriots like you will join us to continue to fight to protect the integrity of our elections.”

The call concludes, “This call is paid for and authorized by the Rule of Law Defense Fund.”

So, the group formed by Republican leaders responsible for the rule of law was advocating a seditionist event that resulted in an attack on a Constitutionally mandated event in the United State Capitol.  An attack that was intended to overturn the results of a national election with the goal of leaving Trump in power. 

Some Republicans Join the Fascist Mob, Others Worked on the Inside

So far six Republican state legislators have been identified as participants in the fascist mob that committed treason when they stormed the United States Capital in order to murder the elected representative of the American people and install a dictator in their place.

At least six Republican state legislators took part in events surrounding the storming of the US Capitol. 

...West Virginia Delegate Derrick Evans posted a video of himself entering the building but later deleted it, The New York Times reported.  

...Tennessee state lawmaker Terri Lynn Weaver told the Tennessean that she was “in the thick of it” during the rally before the storming of the Capitol. She said there was “Just a whole heck of a lot of patriots here". She later tweeted a picture of the mob at the base of the Capitol, saying: “Epic and historic day gathering with fellow Patriots from all over the nation DC.”

...Virginia state Senator Amanda Chase denied that any violence had taken place, despite the overwhelming evidence, and later accused the police of murder after the shooting of a California woman inside the Capitol. 

...Missouri State Representative Justin Hill skipped his swearing-in ceremony to be in DC. He marched to the Capitol but didn’t enter, the St Louis Post-Dispatch reported him as saying. 

...Pennsylvania State Senator Doug Mastriano made sure that a busload of people could be in DC. He said in a video that he didn’t participate in the clashes with police, The Hill reported.

...Michigan State Representative Matt Maddock was also at the scene, according to The Hill.

Why do these traitors still have jobs?  They should be in jail awaiting trial for sedition.  Of course they had help from the inside.

Why Is Trump Still Defiling The White House?

Impeach the bastard and then let the states where he has been breaking laws for his entire career take everything he owns away from him and throw him in jail.  This has ended exactly as many predicted.  A corrupt, mentally unstable serial liar is elected president despite receiving fewer votes than his opponent (proving that the Founders of our country were not prescient) and then launches a coup to remain in power when sane voters overcome the bias of the Electoral College and vote him out.

...despite all the outrage, we still can’t seem to wrap our heads around what we know happened, because it happened right out in the open: The president of the United States incited/commanded a mob to attack a joint session of Congress, in order to stop through murderous violence — a police officer was beaten to death with a fire extinguisher: this somehow gets sanitized in news reports into “died from being hit by fire extinguisher,” as if it fell off the wall or something — the legal installation of his successor. The president of the United States is quite literally guilty of felony murder, as well as sedition.

Just as his fascist goons were given safe passage out of the desecrated capital, Trump is being given safe passage as he sits in the White House contemplating blanket pardons for himself and his co-conspirators.
