In New Zealand "Let Them Eat Cake" Is Government Policy

New Zealand residents returning from abroad are required to spend 14 days in quarantine.  This is government policy and it is strictly enforced.  Their oppressive government requires the returnees to be sequestered in luxury hotels at government expense.  One couple has made quite a splash on social media by photo chronicling their daily meals and desserts.
While horror stories have emerged from similar compulsory quarantines in Australia, the New Zealand quarantine is creating envy among many, with glossy food-porn images of high-quality meals, and mini-fridges stocked with treats: “The government has a cake problem” the blog’s authors have said, adding that the whole process has been “really impressive”.
